Meet Coach Marsell Colbert- GPA Boys Basketball
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Coach Colbert played high school basketball at Annapolis High and came to the Northwest in 1989 to attend North Idaho College and play for the NIC Cardinals for the 1989-90 season.
Mr. Colbert's coaching career begin in 1991 at the Coeur d' Alene Parks & Recreation youth basketball and the Post Falls Parks and Recreation basketball leagues.
In 2002, Coach Colbert founded the AAU team called the River City Hoyas which produced 7 collegiate players. In addition, he accepted the Junior Varsity coaching position at Post Falls Christian Academy and named the Varsity coach later that season.
Mr. Colbert is a big proponent of fundamental development through camps in which he served as an instructor at the following camps: North Idaho College, University of Montana, Portland Trailblazers youth summer basketball camp, and the Advantage basketball camps.
Currently, Mr. Colbert started Fundamental Focus Skill Development and Basketball camps as well as Genesis Prep Middle School coach for the 2014 season and Genesis Prep Varsity Basketball coach for the 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17 seasons.

Meet Brandon Haas- GPA Athletic Director
Growing up in Post Falls, Idaho Brandon Haas played Varsity basketball at Post falls high school for 4 years and graduated in 2007. Brandon took a baseball scholarship to Spokane Falls community college. Unfortunately, Coach Haas, suffered an arm injury and he transferred to play basketball at North Idaho College for 2 years during the 2008-2010 seasons while being ranked 2nd in the National JuCo basketball polls. In 2014 Brandon came on staff with Genesis Prep basketball and helped coach the JV and varsity basketball team for 3 years while being apart of the 2016-2017 state championship team.
Coach Haas has coached with local Lakeland high school (and former Post Falls high school coach) coach Dave Stockwell and Genesis Prep's own Coach Marsell Colbert to learn how to grow students as Basketball players and as quality members of the community, by being apart of local events and fundraisers.
