Genesis Prep High School
ACADEMICS
Our high school students enjoy the benefit of small, relational group learning -- classes are typically 10-15
students in size. Because our accreditation status with NWAC is as a "special purpose" school, we are afforded the opportunity to develop our academic program as distinctively Christian while maintaining our commitment to state graduation standards.
Students begin each day in small groups with a devotional time where prayer requests are offered and God's Word is shared. The next four class periods consist of core studies -- math, english, science and history. We use challenging, well-researched curiculum based on state standards. The majority of this comes from Bob Jones University Press, often considered the premier publisher of Christian school materials.

After lunch a variety of electives are available. On campus options include courses taught by our own
certified, full-time staff, as well as some by part-time staff who are highly trained professionals in their given field. Students may also take online courses through IDLA or dual-enroll at North Idaho College. We also require
students to satisfy our "Life Prep" standards, which may involve community or school service, or job shadowing experience called Field Study.
SPIRITUAL LIFE
As our high school students grow in their faith and knowledge of God, they are strongly encouraged to use their gifts to serve others. Some of them have musical gifts, even composing their own music and leading their peers in worship during our regular chapel times.
Online Learning - IDLA
Genesis Prep has now expanded its high school course catalog through a partnership with the IDAHO DIGITAL
LEARNING ACADEMY. Our students can now access dozens of courses online that are state-accredited, including those in specialty areas such as computer technology, foreign language, health science and the arts. A 6 week Driver's Education Course is also available and may be taken in conjunction with the Driver's Training of your choice. In addition, IDLA offers our high school
students AP, Honors and dual credit courses (a high school credit and a college credit) from the following universities and colleges: Boise State University, Northwest Nazarene University and the College of Southern Idaho.
The cost of each class is only $100.00 -- occasionally there may be a nominal book and materials fee. Students complete their work during supervised times in our computer lab with the option of working off-campus at their leisure. If you are interested in further
details, please visit the IDLA website at www.idahodigitallearning.org or speak with our onsite coordinator.
